More about Landau

As a metropolis in the southern Palatinate, Landau, with around 45,000 inhabitants, is a lively university town with many young people. The people of Palatinate are very sociable and Landau is known for great events such as the Landau Summer or various wine festivals. The city also has a lot else to offer: the impressive Art Nouveau festival hall with numerous events, a city center that is inviting for strolling and of course the surrounding area characterized by nature and vineyards. Landau and its eight districts are located in one of the largest wine-growing regions in Germany, which is primarily due to the mild climate.

Landau is an ideal place to live for young families because it boasts a rural idyll, countless leisure opportunities – such as a zoo, swimming pools and local recreation areas – and a wide range of schools and daycare centers.

The Rhine-Neckar region and the greater Karlsruhe area can be reached quickly, which is also a big advantage for APL customers.
