Located near Ludwigsburg, Stuttgart and Heilbronn, Bietigheim-Bissingen is surrounded by rolling hills, forests and vineyards. The city itself is just as impressive as its surrounding area. The city center has grown historically and is predominantly influenced by the Middle Ages. The town hall (built in 1507), the Latin school and the Hornmoldhaus town museum are definitely worth mentioning. The latter is one of the most important Renaissance buildings in all of southern Germany. The three buildings are also what give the city center its distinctive look. But there is much more to see and admire – for example the New Palace, the accessible city wall, the Japanese Garden and the many sculptures by important sculptors.
